As you did or didn't read on the homepage, my name is Mark Jackson. I'm 34 years old and currently live just east Metro Phoenix.
I moved here early in 2004 from Lompoc, California, after realizing that even though I was making great money, I was never going to be able to afford to buy a home there. I love the desert though, BBQing weather everyday, beautiful sunsets, sitting out by the pool at nine o'clock at night while its 95 degrees outside, crazy lightning storms and the fact that you don't need to be a millionaire to be able to afford a decent sized house here.

I was born and raised in Lompoc, California, "The Valley of the Flowers" about 50 miles north of Santa Barbara. Before settling into my current profession, I served eight years as a medic in the United States Army, where it was my distinct misfortune to see pretty much every armpit and asshole of the world, including a very hostile four and a half month stay in Mogadishu, Somalia. I think the one thing that I learned most from that experience is that "Fighting for Peace, is like Fucking for Virginity!"... but I guess thats a whole other website.
Eight years, sixteen countries, one war and one wife later, I left the Army behind for the life I live now.
I currently work as a web designer for a financial planning company in Carpinteria, California. I primarily design in HTML and Cold Fusion, although I'm trying now to learn several other languages. I do plan on attending college again someday, and finally try to figure out what the hell I want to do when I grow up!

This is my wife Jodie. We've been together for 5 years now and were recently married in June of 2005.
Just the fact that she puts up with my nonsense should be enough, but she's also a thoughtful, intelligent, funny, loving woman and my best friend all rolled up in a beautiful package. I couldn't ask for a better wife.
