This is video of a SAM site blast on 21 October road in Mogadishu, Somalia on October 29th of 1993 (See pages 7 and 8 for the still pictures of the setup and explosion that I took.) The explosion was 90,000 pounds of solid fuel, rocket warheads and various other explosive devices located in this area on abandoned Russian military bases. I was standing on a building about 2 miles from the blast site, and approximately 20 feet from this cameraman. The resulting shockwave from the blast was really jarring and blew out windows on the building we were standing on (you can hear the windows breaking in the video.)
